Are you feeling that something is missing in your life
or that things aren't as they should be?
What's holding you back?
I have often claimed that we are not trying to change the client, or anyone else for that matter, but our goal in therapy is to address the unpleasant and hurtful experiences that brought you to therapy. In our work together, we will utilize various theoretical approaches, however my primary theoretical orientation is depth psychology. Depth psychology is a creative and curious approach that utilizes metaphor found in art, literature, poetry and myth, in order to articulate the images that represent our past, present and the anticipation of future events. My Approach
Together, we will explore those issues, such as anxiety or depression, as a symptom of a deeper underlying problem.
We will explore the images that come to us through our dreams, fantasies, and synchronicities. Additionally, we will examine our relationships to others, as well as how we see ourselves in the many roles we play in our lives—ultimately no image is out of bounds in depth psychology.
Facts are far less important when compared to how the perceptions of events live within us. We will honor those perceptions as an intrinsic part of you.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I am currently conducting my practice under the supervision of Gary Pearle, MFC, PhD., License #30246.
